Questions, answered.

How RoleApt works - fit-checks, tailored CVs and cover letters, file formats, and credits. Still stuck? Email support@roleapt.com.

How does RoleApt know if I am a good fit for a job?

Paste a job and the fit-check gives you an honest verdict in seconds: where you match, where you fall short, and whether it is worth applying at all. It is built to talk you out of long-shot roles, not into them.

Where does RoleApt get my CV content from?

You add your sources - past CVs, write-ups, role notes - and RoleApt synthesizes them into one canonical profile. That single structured profile is what every fit-check and tailored document draws from, so you set it up once and reuse it for every job.

What file types can I upload as sources?

PDF, Word (DOCX), and plain text or Markdown files, or just paste text directly. Images are not supported.

Should I apply, or is it a long shot?

Most applications are not worth your time. The fit-check is cheap and fast, so you spend your credits and your effort only on roles you can realistically win - and skip the ones you cannot.

How is a tailored CV different from a CV template?

A template is a blank layout you fill in yourself. RoleApt generates the CV against one specific job and your real profile, matched to what the role asks for. You still choose the template; RoleApt writes the content against the job.

Does RoleApt write the cover letter too?

Yes. From the same profile and job, RoleApt generates a matching cover letter alongside the CV, tailored to the specific role - not a generic template you fill in yourself.

What file format do I get, and can I edit it?

Your tailored CV and cover letter download as editable DOCX files. You are not locked into a PDF you cannot adjust - open them in Word or Google Docs and tweak anything before you send it.

Will an AI-tailored CV get past ATS screening?

RoleApt outputs a clean, standard DOCX - real headings and text, no tables, columns, or graphics that trip applicant-tracking parsers. It will not stuff hidden keywords; it makes your genuine match easy for the system to read.

Can I upload sources in another language?

Yes, add sources in any language and RoleApt synthesizes them into one English profile. Fit-checks read the job posting in its original language, too. All output (profile, CV, cover letter) is in English for now, and the DOCX is fully editable if you want to translate it.

How much time does RoleApt save per application?

Build your profile once. After that a fit-check takes seconds and a tailored CV or cover letter takes minutes - not the hours it used to take per role. Users say it saves them 2-3 hours per application on average.

Can I trust what the AI writes?

Every CV and cover letter is built only from the sources in your profile, tailored to the specific job. It will not add experience you did not give it.

Does RoleApt train AI models on my data?

No. We do not train models on your data. See our privacy policy for the details.

Is there a subscription, or do I pay per use?

No subscription. RoleApt runs on one-time credit packs - buy what you need, spend it whenever, nothing recurring.

Do RoleApt credits expire?

Purchased credits never expire. The 10-credit signup bonus expires after 90 days if unused.
