About
Why RoleApt exists.
The short version - I got tired of spending hours tailoring CVs by hand, and just as tired of tools that told me to apply to everything or locked my CV in a PDF I couldn't edit. So I built the one I wanted.
The grind
Every application was the same loop: read the job description, judge my own fit, pick a template, rework the CV, write a cover letter from scratch. Two to three hours per role, most of it repeated work. The tools I tried either were not smart enough to do the tailoring, or they locked my CV into a PDF I could not edit.
Built for myself first
So I built a pipeline for myself: one canonical profile synthesized from everything I had ever written about my work, an honest fit-check that read the job description before I did, and a CV and cover letter generated against the specific role. It saved me hours every week. When I showed it to friends and colleagues, every one of them had hit the same wall. That is when it became RoleApt.
The honest part
The fit-check exists to tell you when not to apply, which is the opposite of what most job tools are built for. It reads the job before you do and gives an honest verdict, skip included. A long-shot application costs you an evening and a little bit of confidence; the verdict is there to protect both. Apply to fewer roles, win more of them.
What RoleApt will not do
- Invent your experience. Every CV and cover letter is built only from the sources you provided.
- Lock your documents. Everything exports as editable DOCX - your CV stays yours to change.
- Train on your data. Your sources and documents are never used to train AI models. EU-hosted, GDPR-compliant.
- Put you on a subscription. One-time credit packs; purchased credits never expire.
